The Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research is a globally renowned interdisciplinary research institute at the University of Toronto where scientists make discoveries to improve human health.
Founded in 2005, the Centre hosts 29 faculty members with diverse expertise—from biology to engineering to computer science—who work together to solve some of the biggest problems in health research. Funded primarily by government research grants, the Centre has become internationally recognized as a leading hub for biomedical science, especially in the fields of genome biology, regenerative medicine and disease modeling.
2019 will see the launch of the Accelerator for Donnelly Collaboration, an innovation cluster dedicated to translating discoveries made by the Centre's investigators into new patient therapies.
