Cowdray Park is recognised worldwide as the ‘Home of British Polo’ and is one of the busiest clubs in the world with over 450 matches played annually, the highlight of the season being the British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup. The aim of the Club is to foster and encourage the game of Polo.
The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup is the premier polo tournament in Europe at 22 goal (High Goal) level. With all the international stars of the game in action in the incomparable setting of Cowdray Park’s stunning grounds, situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the tournament draws in polo aficionados from all over the world.
The Club also runs all levels of polo from 4 to 22 goal throughout the season. The playing season runs from April to September with matches on most days.
