IPtoilet A smart self-cleaning toilet can be monitored and managed remotely via a mobile app. A mobile application connects the system to any toilet and makes it smart. By installing this system, any toilet can have self-cleaning capabilities, UV light sanitization, reduced water consumption, graywater measurement, status indication, and more. This IPtoilet is a modularised connected network of sanitation devices monitored by an IoT network. Our IoT sanitation device is being scaled up to be adapted to an open API-based sanitation ecosystem. The IPtoilet device will accept various modularly connected devices, and the status of these devices will be transmitted live to a remote server via mobile networks. Our API-based IoT boards allow third parties to develop a variety of monitoring mobile applications. Our partners will have access to our APIs so they can develop their own smart sanitation applications for connected IPtoilet devices. In this proposal, sample applications, SDKs, and APIs are proposed. As part of the project, the applications will be tested with existing end users and toilet managers and improved for scaling-up. Fund utilization will lead to a greater number of end users and a multi-market launch for the product. Advantages and usage of the system are manifold: When it is used for public toilets, the IPtoilet will give information regarding usage patterns, water consumption, power consumption, working hours, ladies-only features, remote switching and controlling, and more. Third-party mobile application developers can access this data through an open API. The data can then be integrated with their applications to allow the public to monitor any toilet facility nearby. By using a mobile app, people don't have to ask where a toilet is located nearby or whether it's hygienic. On their server, city planners will receive information about toilet usage, water consumption, and other items for better planning of sanitation facilities in the city.
