For over 57 years, the Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center (Manhattan EOC) has been a beacon of hope for adult learners in the NYC area. Our commitment to providing free education and workforce training has transformed lives, opened doors to new opportunities and personal growth.
Manhattan EOC delivers student-centered academic and workforce development programs and serves as a gateway to access further education, career achievement and personal growth in the NYC area.
Participants learn English, study and obtain their High School Equivalency Diploma, and complete one of our in-demand Career Trainings at no cost. Career Training students gain state or nationally recognized credentials in Electronic Health records, Phlebotomy, EKG, Certified Nursing Aide, or start their career in construction with OSHA certifications. In addition, we provide career and employment services leading to greater employment opportunities, as well as free college prep classes, and college application assistance to increase post-secondary enrollment.
Most recently, the Manhattan EOC has been awarded a $1.5 million YouthBuild grant from the US Department of Labor to offer youth the skillsets needed to gain employment in the Construction industry. Students will be provided with construction training while earning their High School Equivalency diploma.
