We are teachers, administrators and counselors; we are librarians, lawyers and accountants. We are nurses, facilitators and therapists; we are ministers, volunteers and women of prayer. Regardless of where we come from or how we serve, we are all proud members of the Atlantic-Midwest Province.
Historically, SSNDs in the Atlantic-Midwest Province have expressed our mission of unity through education, which enables persons to reach the fullness of their potential.
We have taught in elementary, secondary, and university classrooms, and we embrace the concept that education goes beyond the classroom walls and into social service centers and programs –anywhere individuals seek to grow and improve their lives and their communities.
Today, sisters of the Atlantic-Midwest Province minister in and out of formal educational settings in over 30 Dioceses across North America and in England. Our roles include teachers, administrators, librarians, lawyers and accountants. We are also nurses, facilitators and therapists, pastoral and parish ministers, volunteers and women of prayer.
