Montpellier Business School comes from an ancestral tradition of teaching and learning, settled on firms and markets’ needs. In 1897, Chambre du Commerce et d’Industrie de Montpellier (the Institute of Business and Industry of Montpellier) set up the group. Then, the institution has been able to adapt its own teaching skills in Management and Corporation to provide education and training in the manner best suited to the local and global economic changes.
The new strategy of the Institution, which is nowadays subject to the law of 1901 about the association, is: “To be a powerful Business School in Languedoc-Roussillon, distinguished worldwide for its values, for the quality of the education and training in management innovativeness and entrepreneurship, and for its concern about global efficiency, environmental and social responsibility incorporated in its administration, its stakeholders and its results”.
In order to reach this strategic goal of global efficiency, Montpellier Business School focuses its research on management innovativeness and entrepreneurship. Moreover, the school set up a policy in favor of diversity, open-mindedness and environmental and social responsibility. Finally, 32 business partners take part from now on in an Advisory Board, entrusted with the national and the global strategy.
The quality of its strategy and results gains recognition worldwide, which has been proven by three certifications (AACSB, AMBA, EFMD, EPAS), its position in the TOP 50 of Master in Management, in the TOP 80 of the best Business Schools of Europe according to the Financial Times 2012, and in the French newspapers’ ranking.
On the other hand, Montpellier Business School got the first rank in apprenticeship.
