Manjari Foundation was established in May 2015 with the aim of empowering women from marginalised communities to overcome social injustice, poverty and exclusion through the formation of women’s collectives. Headquartered in Dholpur, with operations across 4 Northern Indian States of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, we run a wide range of thematic interventions through the medium of women’s institutions.
'Manjari’ literally translates to “seed of Tulsi”, a sacred Indian plant. When women mobilise themselves to form institutions, they are empowered to sow their own ‘seeds of change’.
