The Recovery Café is a community of individuals from all paths of life. No matter where your steps have taken you; we are a place of support and stability. We do this by providing a beautiful, safe, warm, drug and alcohol-free space that comes with a loving community to anchor people in the sustained recovery they need to gain and maintain access to recovery resources such as: housing, social and health services, healthy relationships, education, and employment. Simply put we are a community center in support of all pathways to recovery.
Traditionally, a person receives support when they are in crisis and finds that the support is removed once they begin to experience stability. That model of emergency intervention and abandonment sets one up for a tumultuous existence. The recovery café is the compassionate system of care of long-term support that’s available indefinitely. Members receive the care they need and typically reciprocate by becoming emerging leaders within their recovery community.
The Recovery Café Hamilton County will support our members
• with a delicious and nutritious meal each day we are open.
• We provide a supportive healing community of people in recovery from addiction, trauma, homelessness, and other mental health challenges
• We provide classes focusing on a variety of topics including relapse prevention, building healthy relationships, skill building, painting, writing, yoga and much more. We call this our School for Recovery.
The recovery café services are free of charge to our members and guests. Our Members:
• participate weekly in Recovery Circles.
• Contribute to the life of the community, giving back to the café or community in some way.
Our Goals at the Café are
• to increase access to peer recovery support,
• increase connectedness to the recovery community in Hamilton County,
• increase awareness of recovery skills
