CYDA provides a link between the direct experiences of children and young people with disability and their families and the Federal Government and other key stakeholders. This link is essential for the creation of a true appreciation of the experiences of and challenges for children and young people with disability and their families.
This is through:
participation and representation of children and young people with disability
development and dissemination of expert advice
implementation of high-impact national advocacy campaigns to positively influence policy, practice and attitudes of the Australian Government, key stakeholders and the wider community
the delivery of strategic projects that support the Australian Government to reform its policy and practice
a partnership approach with our membership, non-government, government and other stakeholders.
