About Andrus
Andrus (Julia Dyckman Andrus Memorial) is a private, non-profit organization that helps secure strong, promising futures for children, families, and communities by promoting stability, increasing resilience, and rebuilding hope.
Our mission is to transform lives through innovative, coordinated social and emotional support for all.
Our vision for the community we serve is for children and families to discover a place of safety and healing.
Andrus provides mental health and community services through its innovative, one system of care model that effectively and equitably responds to the social determinants of health. Guided by the trauma-responsive framework of our Sanctuary Model and a justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion lens, Andrus staff partner with individuals, children, and families to provide services in their homes, communities, on our 110-acre campus in Yonkers/Hastings, and in 35 school-based mental health clinics across Westchester. We specialize in providing children and families with the skills they need to express and cope with strong emotions, effectively decreasing the need for inpatient and residential treatment.
Andrus is committed to providing equal access to its programs and facilities without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or ability to pay. At Andrus we believe every child, family and community deserves to feel safe, valued and loved.
