DDLETB was established on 1st July 2013 under the Education and Training Boards Bill 2012, as an amalgamation of County Dublin VEC and Dún Laoghaire VEC. It has a corporate structure which is made up of a democratically appointed committee and a management (executive) team.
The administrative area covered by DDLETB reaches from Balbriggan in North County Dublin, to Dún Laoghaire in South County Dublin and Lucan in West County Dublin.
DDLETB patron schools (primary and Post-primary) and centres (Adult Education, Further Education and Youthreach) are state, co-educational, multi-denominational and inclusive, underpinned by five core values of Excellence in Education, Care, Equality, Community and Respect.
Our Schools/centres give equal opportunities to all learners in the communities they serve and provide high quality education through respectful, positive, supportive, and responsive learning environments.

DDLETB staff and schools benefit greatly from a broad range of supports and services. DDLETB provide governance, educational, administrative, financial, Human Resources, Psychological Services, and Information Technology (Digital) supports to our staff, schools and centres as well as many Professional Development opportunities.
