Simon and his team have been conserving and restoring paintings for over forty years and the Studio has vast experience in saving paintings of every age, shape and form, in various states of damage and returning them to our clients in a good, repaired condition.
Our client list is extensive and includes leading auction houses, galleries and a large private client base. In addition, we are the first point of contact for museums which do not have their own conservation departments.
We carry out a variety of work, from the simplest of condition reports, to in-depth analysis, investigations and restoration. We also offer advice on all aspects of collecting, including; acquisitions, lighting and hanging and storage and shipping. All our work is documented with high quality before, during and after digital images and all our clients receive in-depth reports of condition and treatment
Collectively, we hold over a hundred years of experience between the studio team of six conservator-restorers and find that our output is equally divided between Old Master works and Modern and Contemporary pieces. As a studio, we enjoy the challenge of working with a diverse range of mediums and we are constantly researching and training to stay up to date with the latest developments in restoration and conservation.
Our Studio policy is to ensure that all materials used are easily reversible and all our products are of an internationally recognized standard. During treatment our main aim is to adhere to the Artists’ original intention whilst retaining the patina of age.
