The UCL Rover Team is a group of mechanical engineering students at UCL, competing in rover competitions in the US, EU & Canada.
Founded in 2017 by 8 mechanical engineering undergraduates and supervised by department head Professor Yiannis Ventikos, the team aims to debut in the 2018 University Rover Challenge competition in Utah with its newly constructed Mars Rover. Following this the team plans to compete in several other competitions across the EU and Canada.
The ambition of the project has lead the team to expand, with the recent addition of the Lunar Rover division consisting of an additional 5 members. The Lunar Rover division are tasked with creating a smaller 5kg rover that will compete in the upcoming 2018 UKSEDS Lunar Rover competition.
The UCL Rover Team continues to expand and is currently looking to recruit bright minded individuals as well as support through its sponsorship schemes.
