The origins of Costan go back to 1946, when the brothers Mario and Alberto Costan founded their first workshop in Turin for the production of refrigerators and refrigerated cabinets: thanks to the continuous increase in demand and the advance of technical innovation at the beginning of the years 70, the establishment moves to Limana, in the province of Belluno, where today equipment for commercial refrigeration is manufactured. At the end of the 1980s, Costan joined the EPTA Group, of which it continues to represent a historic brand today. Epta, is presented today as a business group with a strong international vocation and a global player in the field of commercial refrigeration. With more than 900 employees, Costan is present in the Italian territory through direct branches and in the world with a network of representative offices and distributors. The historic Limana factory, with a surface area of more than 69,000 m², is continually expanding in line with the values of environmental sustainability that guide the Group's investments. The establishment has a cogeneration plant that, together with the photovoltaic installation, almost completely supplies its energy demand for thermal and electrical use. The hot air produced by the thermoelectric plant is reused in the paint ovens, with high consumption savings. By introducing additional wash booths and stations, the new paint line has already almost doubled its production of refrigerated display cabinets, introducing significant paint savings and a significant reduction in energy and water consumption. "We are Costan Argentina, a world leader in commercial refrigeration with environmental commitment"
