The Visakha Container Terminal was set up under the aegis of Visakhapatnam Port Trust as a joint venture between DP World and J M Baxi Group and commenced operations in 2003. First port in the country to receive Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) certification from Indian customs.
Located on the center of the East Coast of India, VCT is ideally located to cater to its vast hinterland of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, MP, UP, North India and West Bengal. With excellent rail and road connectivity, it is an ideal alternative especially for shipments to and from Far East and South East Asian regions to Delhi and other nearby ICDs of Hyderabad, Nagpur and Raipur.
