From January 1st 2017 STW’s activities are gradually incorporated in the new Domain Applied and Engineering Sciences (TTW) of the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). Technology Foundation STW stimulates knowledge exchange between the applied & engineering sciences and potential knowledge users. STW funds academic research that is relevant for future application and innovation. This research is always carried out in co-operation with potential knowledge users like industry or public services and preferably co-financed with those users. STW receives its financial budget from NWO and the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
