Future Woodlands Scotland is a Scottish charity that has been working since 2012 to create, restore and increase understanding of native woodlands in Scotland. We believe that native woodland is key to supporting Scotland in its drive to achieve net zero and to reach its sustainability goals. We strive to ensure that we have the tools and the woodland available to support this. Our funding programmes enable farmers, other land managers and research organisations to create lasting change. RESEARCH AND INNOVATION GRANTS We accelerate innovation to protect biodiversity through our Research and Innovation Grants. We encourage innovative approaches to sustainable woodland projects that improve ecological and habitat robustness, increase carbon storage and contribute to nature-based solutions. FUTURE WOODLANDS FUND We create and restore high quality, biodiversity-friendly native woodland in Scotland through our Future Woodlands Fund. We prioritise integrating woodlands with agriculture; helping farmers to reduce emissions and adapt practices to tackle climate change.
