Established in 1935, Resthaven is a public benevolent aged care community service of the Uniting Church in Australia. Resthaven offers a range of high quality, responsive community and residential care services for older people and their carers.
Our purpose is working together to provide outstanding care and support for older people and their carers.
Our status as a charity reflects our focus and use of resources towards our purpose. Any revenue we generate is directed to the good work we do, not distributed elsewhere, not to other causes. They are not dividends that are distributed to others. Any surplus is used for our good purpose of working with older people.
As a community service associated with the Uniting Church, we are true to the purpose for which we were established in 1935 - to strive to serve older Australians who need support, and to do so in a socially accountable manner that reflects our values.
Resthaven is a diverse community of people: residents, clients, staff, volunteers, families, friends and other stakeholders.

We expect all staff, volunteers, residents, clients, their families and carers embrace these values and treat each other with mutual respect and understanding.
