The International Montessori Council (IMC) was organized in 1998 under the auspices of the Montessori Foundation to provide an inclusive professional organization for Montessori educators and schools around the world to work together to promote high-fidelity Montessori to the outside world and help one another to address the challenges that we all face. The IMC offers excellent, practical, and very supportive professional development, networking, school accreditation, and teacher education. As a professional organization, the IMC believes that Montessori educators and schools need to work together in collaboration. We encourage our members to also be active in other local, state, or national Montessori organizations.
