The factory was established on august, 1950 in Karachi at Nishter Road under the name and style of Pakistan beverage limited under the direct control and management of late Haji Ali Muhammad (the founder of Pakola ). In 1960 the company shifted to site industrial area where it developed day and night. In 1965 "bubble up" and in 1982 "Apple Sidra” were successfully launched. These were the first franchised brand to be launched by this Company
In 1968, Mr. Yasin Haji Kassam joined the beverage industry after completing his education and using new ideas and a progressive approach, took the company to greater heights. Orange Crush and Pineapple Crush introduced in 1976. In June 1977 another beverage plant was set up in Hyderabad by the name of Sindh Beverages Limited. In 1979 PBL took the franchise of PEPSI, MIRANDA and TEEM, and management has moved Pakola and allied products to Mehran Bottlers Limited.
Now Pakistan Beverage Limited is a group which consists of six Factories, as follows:

2. Pakistan Beverage Limited – Hyderabad
3. Pakistan Beverage Limited – Quetta
4. Yassir Fruit Juice – SLICE
5. Aquafina - Highway
6. Pakola Product Limited – Highway
