The Barrie & Community Family Health Team is one of the largest Family Health Teams in Ontario. Our team is currently comprised of 80 Family Physicians who work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Dietitians, Pharmacists, Mental Health Counsellors, Diabetes Educators, Respiratory Educators and Administrative Support Staff. Family Health Teams are funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. Since April 2005, the Ministry has supported the development of more than 200 Family Health Teams across the province - our Family Health Team has been operational since 2006.
