Welcome to Arcade Strange - the home of gamified drinks-pouring technology
Back in 2016, our founder, Seth Jackson, was sitting with a roboticist and a neuroscientist,discussing the future of creative technology. As the beer flowed and the magic that is Radical Collaboration began to gather momentum, it was decided that they should try tocreate the world’s first mind-controlled beer-pouring robot.
That robot was built out ofsalvaged metal rods and some hastily written code. That robot was Homer V1.1.
Fast forward three years and Homer V4 was the lead product in a fast-growing business, Thirsty Thoughts. A fleet of Homers were delighting at conferences and branded activations in countries all over Europe and the US, pouring mind-controlled beer and producing joy, wonder and record-breaking levels of engagement. New iterations followed including Matilda, the gesture-controlled champagne-pouring robot.Our list of clients grew.
In 2023 we launched Arcade Strange, a modular, fully gamified beer tap. This new robot has the power to deliver not just mind control, but a whole arcade’s worth of drinks-pouring gamification. Current games make use of EEG, AR, and Computer Vision, but the possibilities are (almost) limitless.
