Most often students with learning disabilities or differences benefit from close relationships in a small intimate setting. Daniels Academy is a small boarding school for youth with no more than 40 students at any given time. Students receive individual attention and mentoring daily by caring staff who understand the nature of learning disabilities and differences. Each student is considered individual with unique strengths, talents and needs. The Daniels Academy team develops an individualized educational and treatment plan for each student.
Over time, we’ve learned that no two students in this audience are alike. As a result, we focus on individualized care. We respect and encourage the unique strengths and talents of our students.
Everything we do At Daniels Academy revolves around supporting the students' individual development of our 4 Pillars.
These 4 Pillars are:
1 - Executive Function Skills
2 - Social Learning and Thinking Skills
3 - Emotion and Mood Regulation Skills
4 - Daily Living Skills
Daniels Academy combines adventure education, and a nurturing residential environment with an interactive, project-based academic program, supported by specialized therapy for students and their families. All aspects of the Daniels Academy program are created and implemented with our Four Pillars of Development in mind. Through consistent community interaction and involvement Daniels Academy supports the development of our students through these Four Pillars.
For years Daniels Academy has explored the opportunities of adventure education, and adopted the best therapeutic and educational practices for our students. This evolution has resulted in years of experience serving the Autism Spectrum Disorder population.
