Erco has been serving commercial customers and homeowners alike since being founded in 1963 by Rick and Esther Sykora. The company originally gained fame as a supplier/installer of suspended ceiling systems, but over the years expanded into supplying and installing window treatments, restroom partitions, ADA accessories, commercial flooring and Division 10 specialties. Starting from a small garage in Glassboro, New Jersey, the company has grown to four locations. Despite the fact Erco has grown into a mid-sized corporation over the years, the Sykora family has never forgotten the company's family-owned roots. This allows Erco to give customers and employees all the personal service and attention of a family-run operation, while having all the benefits, knowledge and resources available to a medium-sized company. Erco is a regional leader in the interior construction industry and maintains strong, direct-buy relationships with industry leaders in the ceilings, blinds and Division 10 industries, such as Armstrong, USG, Chicago Metallic, Bobrick, Hadrian, Bali-Graber and Hunter Douglas. Erco was the first company to partner with as part of their Certified Recycling Program and continues to be at the forefront of green initiatives in our industry as a member of the US Green Building Council.
