The Cerebral Palsy Support Network (CPSN) is the peak-body representing individuals with cerebral palsy and their families, in Victoria. Based in Melbourne, CPSN provides information, resources and support to children and adults with cerebral palsy, and their families.
CPSN began in 1995 as a monthly support group for parents whose children had been diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Such a group was vital as all of these parents were looking for some form of support from other people who understood the issues and challenges they faced.
Cerebral palsy is the fastest growing childhood physical disability in Australia, with a child born with the condition every 15 hours. CPSN is the only not-for-profit organisation in Victoria that focuses specifically on supporting and empowering people living with cerebral palsy. Consequently, CPSN has a complete understanding of the challenges faced by people with cerebral palsy and their families at all stages of life. CPSN recognises that each person is unique, and as such, the needs of all members are assessed and addressed individually.
Our mission is to empower and enable people with cerebral palsy
and their networks to maximise their choices and opportunities.
Our vision is that we are known leaders empowering people with
cerebral palsy and their networks to flourish through the provision
of support, resources and services. We are highly adaptable and
responsive to changing needs.
