APAD works to ensure a safe, reliable, responsive, accessible, planned, integrated, affordable and sustainable land public transport system to enhance economic growth and quality of life.
SPAD had been established in 2010 and functions as the regulator for all facets of land public transport for Peninsular Malaysia.
Our main objective is to provide the Prime Minister with a twenty year Master plan to ensure comprehensive, integrated and sustainable infrastructure development.
The types of land public transport that SPAD regulates are:
• Taxi
• Bus
• LRT
• MRT
• Monorail
• KTMB
• Lorry
• Freight transport ( rail and lorry)
