Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) (AZE: Azərbaycan Milli Elmlər Akademiyası, located in Baku, is the main public research organization and the primary body that conducts research and coordinates activities in the fields of science and social sciences in Azerbaijan. It was established in January 23, 1945. In 2015, ANAS celebrated the 70 years anniversary. The present president of ANAS is Akif Alizadeh.
