CanZion Institute of Music, is a musical educational institution with Christian values. Born in Durango Mexico in 1994, founded by the renowned musician and pastor Marcos Witt.
It is founded on the need for evangelical musicians in America to be able to prepare themselves musically and also biblically. As is known, music within community worship is basic and there have been many artists who, starting from this field, have managed to develop great contributions, starting from Bach, Händel to renowned singers such as Juan Luis Guerra, Cliff Richard, among others.
ICZ has become an important arm of the church in Latin America for work with musicians. Currently, the CanZion Institute is made up of more than 5,000 students distributed among 23 countries with more than 80 schools around the world, 5 are in Europe, 3 in Africa and the rest in Latin America and the US. ICZ develops musical educational programs for children, adolescents and adults, while carrying out a global work of social integration, interculturality, education in values and cooperation.
Among them:
• Hundreds of underprivileged children in El Salvador and Guatemala receive music classes
• Hundreds of Latino generation Y youth in the US learn Spanish and their indigenous culture and values
• Classes in schools in Africa are free and accessible to all
• It has been the development platform for numerous internationally recognized artists such as: Alan Villatoro with a Latin Grammy, a student at the Escuela de Durango (Mexico), Marcos Brunet, among others. During these almost 20 years, it has signed collaboration agreements with many entities such as:
