Plumbing and Heating Wholesale, Inc. was formally organized in September of 1979. The impetus for the development of the company came from founders who had worked in the plumbing, heating and ventilating industry for many years. Because of the distance to sources of supply, contractors in the area were forced to maintain large inventory levels and plan for delivery of supplies to a degree that was not necessary for contractors operating in cities where supplies were readily available. This observation formed the basis for beginning the new venture. Plumbing and Heating Wholesale, Inc. has served portions of Northwest Iowa for 40 plus years. In that time warehouses have been opened in Sioux Center, Carroll, Sioux City and Spencer, Iowa as well as Sioux Falls and Rapid City, and Aberdeen, South Dakota. The range and depth of products in inventory has grown dramatically in those years. A continuing strategy of stocking and selling brands that are known and trusted by the trades continues to guide the growth and configuration of the inventory. Plumbing and Heating Wholesale, Inc. has recruited and trained a number of employees who have now served the industry for many years. Training of those employees is a continuing strategy intended to increase the value of the products and services delivered to customers. Plumbing and Heating Wholesale, Inc. provides delivery service to contractor job sites and place of business on a weekly basis, and in some areas on a daily basis.
