Stowmarket High School is an 11-18 school serving the community of the rapidly growing town of Stowmarket in Suffolk, England. The school was founded in 1908. In 2015 the school accepted 11 yr old students for the first time following the reorganisation of the 3 tier system in Suffolk. In September 2018 it became an Academy school within the Waveney Valley Academies Trust. In 2020 the school will move into new accomodation, on its current site, as a result of a complete rebuild, funded by the Priority Schools Building Programme.
The school’s strapline is ‘The Future. Our Business’ as the school sees its mission to look beyond the accountability measures and trends of political fancy, and rather focus on ensuring the students of Stowmarket High School enjoy a broad and rich curriculum, that endeavours to connect the school to the world of higher and further education and employment.
The school’s Headteacher is Mr Dave Lee-Allan, who was appointed in 2015.
