The American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania (ACEC/PA) is devoted exclusively to the promotion and enhancement of the business interests of the consulting engineering industry in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. ACEC/PA is comprised of more than 125 member firms throughout Pennsylvania that offer engineering expertise in a wide range of disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, industrial, surveying, mining, and construction, and range in size from a single professional engineer to corporations employing thousands of professionals with offices throughout the nation and the world.
ACEC/PA presents a strong, unified voice in state and local policy debates to help ensure that member firms can compete fairly in an increasingly aggressive global market. The Council maintains a close working relationship with state departments and agencies as rules, regulations, and contracting principles are developed and adopted. It is also the goal of ACEC/PA to increase awareness and educate the general public, prospective students, and political figures on the important role that engineers play in society; promote the importance of the engineering profession to the United States and global economy; and foster the education of future generations of engineering professionals.
