The Buttonwood Park Zoological Society, founded in 1969, is a private, non-profit that supports the Buttonwood Park Zoo in creating experiences for exploring and enjoying the natural world. Located in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
The BPZS supports the Zoo by managing the membership program, operating the concessions, creating engaging educational programming, producing family events, and coordinating fundraising activities. The BPZS is responsible for marketing, special events, grant writing, and the volunteer/internship programs at the Zoo.
All the proceeds from the BPZS's activities are used to support the Zoo's mission.
