Ego Bodegas is a reference as far as wine with Denomination of Origin Jumilla is concerned. It owns more than 25 hectares of vineyards with varieties such as tempranillo, syrah and monastrell pie franco with grapevines over 50 years of age.
Ego Bodegas was founded with the vision to express in its wines the richness and qualities from Monastrell grape, the native species of the region, a variety which has adapted itself to the area, characterized by lime, sandy and stony soils with water shortage and more than 3.000 hours of sunshine per year. Our wines are distinguished for being concentrated, mature and overwhelming, of exquisite texture, with substance and full of personality...typically Mediterranean.
Ego, Talento, Infinito Are The Three Identifying Words That Have Been Able To Make This Possible;
Three Words That Define What We Want To Transmit.
Ego: The concept of I
Talento : The capacity for the performance and execution of an occupation
Infinito : The limitless power of the dream
These three words personify the core of our wines, which combine the results of blending the actions and reactions, successes and failures of our short existence.
The founders have been bound to the wine world for more than a decade; it may seem a little time compared to other wineries, but long enough to feel fascinated by the magical combination of the soil and the native grape variety, the Monastrell. They have devoted themselves to construct a project whose cornerstone is to count on the best vineyards of the area in order to obtain the best possible fruit to create the liquid that, as Socrates said, transports us to a sweet happiness.
