The International Packaged Ice Association represents packaged ice producers, distributors and suppliers to the industry worldwide. IPIA members are required and dedicated to meeting our trademarked Packaged Ice Quality Control Standards (PIQCS) and have these sanitation standards verified by an NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) auditor annually. The PIQCS standards include specific Good Manufacturing Practices, Process Control, Recall, Pest Control, Food Security, Finished Product Microbiological testing and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points). Our member producers take seriously that ICE IS A FOOD and follow these strict food safety standards to ensure the quality of packaged ice purchased whether for cooling or consumption is safe. The trademarked IPIA Logo as seen on ice packaging is the assurance of the high quality product inside. Ice is Food!
