The University of Louisiana System is the state's largest higher education system enrolling about 92,000 students at the following nine member institutions: Grambling State University, Louisiana Tech University, McNeese State University, Nicholls State University, Northwestern State University, Southeastern Louisiana University, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, University of Louisiana at Monroe, and University of New Orleans.
The universities are governed by a 16-member Board of Supervisors that include 15 members appointed by the Governor serving six-year terms and one student member elected annually from among the nine Student Government Association (SGA) presidents.
The system has a total operating budget of over $752 million and produces more than 16,000 graduates each year.
