The Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce, now 1200+ member businesses strong, is a nonprofit organization of highly influential and diverse women and men dedicated to the advancement and empowerment of women through avenues of leadership, education, advocacy and mentoring. We are the platform for business women in the greater Houston region.
Our Major Initiatives
• Annual Houston Conference for Women, 2021s keynote speakers were Diane Von Furstenberg, Brooke Baldwin, Tyla-Simone Crayton, Tara Martin,
• Greater Houston Women’s Hall of Fame, recognizing outstanding who have spent their lives giving back so we all have a better quality of life.
• Women in the Fast Lane of STEAM, celebrating executive women and entrepreneurs in STEAM fields who are role models
• LAUNCH , provides education, resources and tools for women-led businesses to be successful
• Women on Board is a year-long institute providing the tools, relationships and resources for women to become board ready.
• Education initiatives include STEAM Town USA encouraging 3rd grade girls to pursue STEAM careers, Love What You Do, a valuable job-shadowing program, an annual scholarship program providing deserving female high school students in six Houston area school districts a scholarship to attend the Texas college of their choice.
As women who have succeeded in times when job opportunities for women were limited, we are still faced with challenges. This Chamber's success shows how we can do so much more. By becoming a united force for prosperity for all women, and by providing key scholarships to those with great promise, we are creating the future leaders of our community. We now enjoy a future where the sky is the limit. Women have shown they are creative thinkers capable of leading American business to work smarter, faster and become more competitive than ever before.
