Mission/Purpose
Our mission/purpose is to further develop our professional capacity by leading innovative community projects. We formalized the organization in August 2020 by consulting with professors and professionals to create projects for our members to manage. By mashing consulting and project management together, we collaborate with startups, firms, professors, professionals, and other student organizations to help remove barriers students face at gaining experience at university.
Overall, DBL is meant to help redefine the student experience, build student portfolios and help us (students) prepare for the workforce of the future.
Our Objectives:
To Collaboratively tackle UTM internal projects.
To Administer purpose-driven growth through, professional development, career planning, building and sharpening skills, learning from industry professionals and peer-mentoring opportunities.
To Provide students with avenues to refine skills they love and to potentially develop careers out of all their university experiences (will be the key to our success).
To make key strategic partnerships with other UTM clubs, departments, faculties, professionals, startups and firms to support and enhance the goals above.
Our Desired outcomes:
Experience-based learning
Internationalized learning
New learning modes and technologies
Facilitating the transition from study to work
