Urban Economy forum is an international and multi-stakeholder organisation that focuses on urban economics and municipal finance. It does this by bridging the gap between mayors, municipalities other city leaders with banks, investment firms and other financial stakeholders. The goal is to ensure lack of financial resources does not hinder the ability of municipalities to achieve the most innovative sustainable development projects. UEF alongside UN-Habitat aims to complete the knowledge-based handbook “Urban Economy for City Leaders” for world leaders to use as a guide mandated by the United Nations.
On the occasion of World Cities day Urban Economy Forum is holding its inaugural Forum, where there will be an opportunity for both sides of development to come together to network, learn and share best practices. The event is being held in Toronto Canada on October 29th & 30th 2019. We hope to see you in Toronto where we come together towards an urban sustainable economy to leave the world a better place.
