North South University (NSU) is the first private university of Bangladesh. It fundamentally changed the higher education landscape in the country by introducing American-style broad-based undergraduate programs that followed the semester calendar and credit hour system. Founded by renowned industrialists of the country, the university began its journey with the first classes offered in 1993.
Currently, 17,000+ students are enrolled in various undergraduate and graduate programs offered by four schools: School of Business and Economics, School of Health and Life Sciences, School of Humanities and Social Sciences and the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences.
The NSU campus also offers a spacious open air theater and lobby, a large auditorium, gym/health clubs, student and faculty lounges, several cafeteria, a medical center, student club offices, game rooms, and a three-level basement parking space for 600 vehicles.
The 100 classrooms and lecture theaters are equipped with computers and projectors to assist both students and the faculty members in creating stimulating and engaging classroom experiences. Campus wide Wi-Fi is available for student usage of their own devices.
