WVA
alias WEAVA, driven from the term “to weave”
We are a young team of architects and designers that provides service in the fields of architectural, landscape, urban and interior design.
Using “weaving” as a design process to generate new possibilities, we treat the site as DNA, understanding the site carries the genetic instructions used in the development and function of urban organisms and system, such as cities and suburban conditions.
We prefer to reveal the DNA of the site by means of analyzing and re-organizing its urban data. This contextual information also includes cultural and sociological criteria. The urban DNA of a site is well-suited for urban alteration. This understanding of the DNA of an urban fabric allows us to re-shape spatial structures and re-organize social organizations.
WVA architects use urban DNA as a contextual and analytical tool to explore spatial and social organizations and structures. By implementing a weaving design process (an intertwining method where multiple layers are interlaced to form a new urban paradigm), WVA uses the driving forces of a project to optimize the design solution based on the theory of the urban elastic city… elasti-CITY.
WVA weaves various elements of the contemporary urban environment ranging from urban fabric to architectural pattern and from cultural background to advanced technology, while also working at different scales. And because we do think that the world is in constantly changing, WVA shares the malleability and the adaptability to keep up with its environment.
WVA
