Cowtown Materials began in 1982 with a single yard location in Fort Worth, Texas, and added a second Fort Worth yard in 1986 to help serve customers there as well as in Dallas. As the local markets grew, so did the need for quality construction materials across central Texas. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, GMS united several brands under the recognized and respected Cowtown name, with an eye toward continued growth and consistent customer service.
