Welcome to Severna Park United Methodist Church! This is a safe place to explore faith, to ask real questions, and to find a vibrant community of people trying to live authentically and joyfully as disciples of Jesus in the 21st century.
On a typical Sunday morning, you have a choice of three different worship services. If you’re a morning person, come on out to the Early Service at 8am where you’ll experience worship in a more intimate setting with traditional overtones. Our 9:30am Contemporary Service is more casual with music led by a praise and worship band. At 11am our Traditional Service features organ, piano, and a choir. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of the month at all three services and baptisms are also a regular part of our worship rhythm. There’s a time for conversation and connection with coffee and donuts in the Fellowship Hall after each of our worship services.
But we're about more than just Sunday worship! Our church has dynamic programs for children (birth-5th grade) to learn about Jesus and put that into action; a signature youth ministry (6th-12th grade) for teens to explore and claim faith for themselves; a young adult community for all types to connect and support one another; and adult ministries for lifelong learning and fellowship. Outside our building, SParkUMC members serve through mission projects including Appalachian Service Project, Backpack Buddies (providing food for elementary children), Heaven's Kitchen (a feeding ministry in Brooklyn Park), Operation Welcome Home (supporting returning military personnel), Prison Ministry, Volunteers in Mission, and more. Check out our website and Facebook page to learn more about our congregation and maybe even visit. We'd love to meet you!
