Kindness Farm is a refugee, immigrant & queer led non-profit educational, urban, regenerative farm in SE Portland.
We provide equitable access to high-quality, hands-on, experiential environmental education for children and adults; actively address health inequalities; and drive meaningful change towards a more sustainable and community-focused approach to food production in our local food system.
We're an almost entirely volunteer run farm that donates 100% of what we grow to people experiencing food insecurity; and we teach kids, adults, and seniors how to grow their own food sustainably, on a limited budget.
In the last 3 years we've...
- Taught over 2200 children, adults, and seniors how to grow their own food
- Donated healthy produce for over 60,000 meals, produce boxes, and free food pantries to those experiencing food insecurity in our community
- Logged nearly 20,000 volunteer hours with our amazing, magical community
We work with historically underserved communities: immigrants, refugees, LGBTQIIA2S+, folks with low-income, BIPOC, & disabled folks.
