A registered US 501(c)3 charity, the goal of AMHF is to enable access to health services for the tens of millions of Africans who fail to receive quality, life-saving care. It pursues this purpose by offering financial, logistical, personnel and management support to African mission health facilities, which, through thousands of centers, provide roughly one-third of medical services on the continent. AMHF directly supports care for 70,000 patients annually and is financing the formal training of 100 African healthcare professionals. Providing assistance to such a large number of patients is possible because of the efficiency of our partners. In Kenya, a clubfoot may be corrected for $100. In Malawi, treating a child for malaria costs less than $10. The charity has active partners in eight countries, including Malawi, Uganda, South Sudan and Tanzania. It has built clinics, procured x-ray machines, educated surgeons and doctors, and sponsored life-changing operations, particularly pediatric rehabilitative treatment. It oversees the largest HIV and tuberculosis clinical mentorship program in Kenya.
