🌻Project Tawwaqo is social impact initiative started under the United Nations Millennium Fellowship, driven by the students of Lady Shri Ram College for Women.
It revolves around establishing a secure and enduring source of livelihood for the women of the Afghan refugee community nestled in Jangpura. These resilient women, adept in the art of handicrafts, craft exquisite crochet products such as earrings, keychains, and coasters.
At its core, this project is a beacon of empowerment, fostering entrepreneurship as a vehicle for these women to attain a life marked by sustainability and independence.
Named after the Arabic-origin word 'Tawwaqo,' meaning hope, the project's essence is grounded in the belief in a brighter future. Its fundamental values hinge on cultivating hope and channeling an unwavering passion to uplift our community in every conceivable way🌻
