The Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) is the peak professional body for urological surgeons in Australia & New Zealand.
Founded in 1937, USANZ administers the Surgical Education and Training (SET) Program in Urology through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and organises Continuing Professional Development activities for its members. The Society works with advocacy and support groups such as the Prostate Cancer of Australia, and the Continence Foundation. It educates the public on urological issues via the media and represents the views of urologists to governments, the health sector and medical industry. It provides information on urology to the media holds an Annual Scientific Meeting publishes a newsletter, "Society News" oversees some of the grants and prizes available to urologists.
USANZ is committed to clinical excellence, education, the promotion of research and the dissemination of information on urological topics for the benefit of the community. The Society's vision is to continue to work for its community to ensure the best access to the quality urological care its members provide.
