Gedling Borough Council is responsible for services to 53,000 households and 115,000 residents. We lie on the outskirts of Nottingham City and cover 120 km2. We manage an annual budget of £12.6 million, manage 35 parks, 32 play areas, empty 60,000 bins and 13,000 glass boxes every week. We clean 578 km of roads, collect 1,383kg of litter each year and handle over 180,000 calls to our contact centre every year.
For many of our residents and businesses, it’s the day to day services such as refuse collection, streetcleaning, parks and leisure centres that matter the most. For others it’s help with housing, debt, finding a job or coping with loneliness.
Our ethos is simple; Serving People, Improving Lives.
