GAMWORKS is the acronym for the Gambian Agency for the Management of Public Works. It is an autonomous and not-for-profit institution set up in 1993 by The Government of The Gambia, with the assistance from World Bank/IDA. The mandate of the Agency is to implement development projects in the area of public infrastructure, in an expeditious and efficient manner on behalf of the Government and our Development Partners, including: World Bank/International Development Association (IDA), African Development Bank (AfDB), Islamic Development Bank (IDB), OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID), International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Global Fund to Fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria, The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the German Financial Cooperation (KFW).
