When our founders assembled a group of musicians in 1912, they laid the foundation for what is now one of our community's greatest cultural assets. Today, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra serves a diverse audience of more than 200,000 children and adults through 200 concerts each year across North Texas.
As the anchor of the Fort Worth arts community, the FWSO serves as the official orchestra for the Fort Worth Opera, Texas Ballet Theater, Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, and Texas Christian University’s Pianofest.
The FWSO also performs our own robust programming at two of the city's most celebrated venues: Bass Performance Hall, home to the FWSO’s pops and symphonic concerts, and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, where the six-week summer festival Concerts in the Garden has served over 850,000 since its debut in 1991.
