Oman Reinsurance Company SAOG (Oman Re) was incorporated in the Sultanate of Oman as a closely held joint stock company on 4th August 2008. The company obtained a license to operate reinsurance business on 2nd July 2009 from the Capital Market Authority. The company is engaged in underwriting reinsurance business including fire, engineering, accident, medical, motor and aviation classes. In August 2021, Oman Re launched its branch at the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) after obtaining necessary regulatory approvals.
